Toddler proof the locks

My little cherub locked me out of the house today. I went out to check up on the goblin who was making mud pies. I did shut the slider behind me to make sure that the A/C wasn't getting out. I came back to the door and found Colin mushing his face up on the glass and I got that sinking feeling...that he had flicked the switch and locked the door. Sure enough, he had. I spent about five minutes trying to talk to him through the glass and get him to lift the latch again. But he just giggled and pointed up toward things behind me that weren't there.

I did go try the garage door, knowing that the kitchen to garage door was unlocked. Nope. I was hoping and praying I hadn't locked the front door when Jon left this morning and luckily I hadn't. That would have been a disaster:  Liam and I locked out in the 100+ heat and no cell phone and me wearing only a dirty t-shirt and Jon's underwear as shorts. When I let myself in the front door, the cat was very angry at me for having left (I was gone for 5 minutes total).
